After our amazing day exploring northern Vietnam yesterday, today we were going to get on a bus to our next stop Ha Giang. Ha Giang is northwest of where we are now, and the next place we want to visit as we make our way west to Laos. Ha Giang is referred to as the final frontier of northernmost Vietnam and is gaining popularity with foreign tourists for having one of the most epic motorcycle routes called the Ha Giang Loop or Happiness Road. This is a 3-5 day-loop on a motorbike and filled with natural beauties and indigenous culture.
Due to the language barrier we experienced all through the town of Cao Bang, we could not figure out how to get a bus to Ha Giang. After much effort and failure to figure anything out all morning, Brendan finally met someone who spoke some English. We were told the bus we needed was at 10am and it was already 9:50am. The guy said we would never make it because the bus stop is 15 minutes away. So we are staying another night in Cao Bang. Although there is not really much in Cao Bang specifically, we thought it was okay as we had a nice room and I didn’t mind having a chill day.
We really didn’t do much today. We ventured out for lunch, went to a market and post office but that’s about it. I worked on the blog and did some research for our next destinations. Since there is not much to report about the day I’ll take this space to post some photos of all the beautiful flowers I have seen in Asia and have been wanting to share. This has been my time to “stop and smell the roses” and I have enjoyed all the beautiful plant life in these tropical climates.
Tomorrow we will try again and hopefully make it to Ha Giang.

Truly Magnificent!!!!
You two certainly amaze me!!!
