DAY 1 (2/4/19)

Had a 6am flight out of Seattle and this trip is an adventure from the start. Huge snow storm predicted for the NW and after struggling to get the car out of the icy driveway we got all our stuff loaded and Mom and Chris and Sadie bravely took us to the airport. Brendan drove and I think we were all more nervous than he was. The freeways were completely covered with snow and cars were crashed to the side the whole way there. Thankfully we made it safe and Mom and Chris made it back home. We flew this first leg from SEA to Belize city on air miles and had a 24 hour layover in Dalla. I had plans of getting there and quickly exploring the big city for the afternoon and night. However, we were so exhausted from not sleeping much the night before and the whirlwind of the preceding week of getting ready to leave that we decided to just check in the hotel and REST until our flight the next day. I know this sounds like a really boring travel blog as we spent the day and night laying around the hotel room but I thought better to take one day of rest to do nothing and then start our big adventure tomorrow fully energized!
This seems like an adventurous movie. You describe it well. I will keep reading, as time permits. Even though I am “retired”, I am busier than I ever was when I worked full time (with much overtime) in Quality Control in the computer room at Fireman’s Fund in San Rafael.
Thanks so much for reading Wayne! Hope you enjoy 🙂
