November 13th and 14th, 2019
The next couple of days were very relaxed which was nice. Brendan and our new friend Pascal did the dives to get their Deep Dive Certification and I hung out by the pool and explored the town of Dahab. There are all kinds of restaurants and cafes that have lounge chairs looking out over the water.
We would eat dinner together and I read the book we needed to get the nitrox certification. Brendan and Pascal had some great dives, and one that was really cool went through an underwater canyon.
Brendan has to go home earlier than I do to handle some business with the party bus, and we were trying to decide if he had time to do both Israel and Jordan. We decided it would be worth it for him to see Petra in Jordan even if it meant we had a short time in that country before heading to Israel. If all goes well (with transportation that always seems questionable when we will get somewhere) we will go to Jordan tomorrow.
