Since we arrived at “Posada Rio Celeste” after dark the night before, we got up excited to see our surroundings. This hotel/campsite was very cute with gardens, a restaurant, hammocks, dogs, and even 2 pretty birds that would mimic you.

Brendan and I went for a jog and saw a bit more of the surrounding area.

We came back and got ready to go to Tenorio National Park. What makes this place special is there is a chemical reaction when two rivers merge and turns the water a crazy, pretty blue color. Taylor, still nursing her sprained ankle was a trooper and made the hike to the falls even though it had many stairs. It was a beautiful hike in the jungle where we saw many pretty Costa Rican butterflies. The waterfall and river were amazing.

The whole time it didn’t look real to me; the blue color was just so brilliant!

After the hike, we came back to our campsite where we had a horseback ride waiting for us. We were lucky and just the three of us had a private tour.

Our guide Dave, took us to a really cool Tarzan-type swing in the jungle. It was the biggest swing I have ever been on and really fun. Since it was just the three of us we each got to do it a bunch of times.

Then we continued our ride until we reached the strikingly blue river at a spot where we could swim in it. You could not get in the water while in the national park, so being able to come to this hidden place was amazing.

After swimming we rode to a point where we could see lake Nicaragua and Nicaragua on the other side. It was really fun and I’m super happy we opted for that activity. Brendan and I crashed really early that night as we were quite tired from everything.
I’m so happy that you are all having such a great time. Thank you Shanti for your all your checking out the best ways. I’m looking forward to seeing you all and hearing more about your adventures.

Thanks for reading! Sending love!
I Love how the bird landed so fearlessly to help with B’s laundry! Especially since i now know about the ongoing challenge of getting your one set of clothes clean! B looks happy on his horse too, maybe he didnt get the slowest one that time…
