After eating our last breakfast at the hotel and spending ample time saying goodbye to our “bed” while taking several pictures of us in the bed, we checked out and started on our next journey.

At the hostel where we stayed at the first night in San Jose, we saw an advertisement for “Rio Celeste”. We only had two more nights in Costa Rica and were not exactly sure what to do with them. After looking into Rio Celeste we decided to drive the 3.5 hours there so we could explore the beautiful river and waterfall in Tenorio National Park the next day.

This place is off the beaten path as there is not really much of a town close by.

We found a website for a hotel that also said they had camping, so we decided to just drive there and check it out. After making a few stops along the way it was dark by the time we arrived. Luckily this cute little place did indeed have a place we could set up our tent and stay. We got everything set up and laid outside in hammocks until we went to bed in the tent. This was a very quiet, peaceful place.
