Today we took a bus from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales which is the closest town to enter the National Park of Torres del Paine. We found a really cute hostel called the Corner House that we checked into on arrival.

This town is totally a backpacker hub for those entering the park. I have never seen so many hostels before. This was also the town where the offices are of the companies that offer camping on the “W-trek” in Torres del Paine.

This was the hike I wanted to do from the beginning but was never able to make camping reservations online. We walked to the different offices and were easily able to reserve camping for the trek once we were there in person! We decided to do the “W” in 4 nights, 5 days. We were not able to reserve our first night until April 4th which means we have a couple more days in Puerto Natales to rest and get ready for the trek. Super excited we are able to do the trek, we explored the rest of Puerto Natales and had a good dinner at “Base Camp” which is actually owned by a guy from Oregon.
