Brendan had school work to catch up and he stayed at the hostel to be on the computer today. Taylor and I went out to go to the Palermo neighborhood where we heard there were cute boutique shops. We took the subway to get there and walked around for a while. Taylor was looking for a dress for a wedding she is going to in Mexico. She didn’t find anything so decided to head back to the hostel. I kept walking and went to the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. After that I walked to a different area of town to go to the top of a dome that was a lookout point for the city. I got great 360 panoramic views of BA and they displayed how huge Buenos Aires is. After that, I had Brendan meet me at an old speakeasy lounge. It was a flower shop storefront that you go into and open the refrigerator door and it takes you downstairs to a cool little bar. It was voted one of the worlds 50 best bars for several years in a row. After a spritzer type drink and an appetizer of mushrooms, we met Taylor for an Argentinian steak dinner. It was the first steak I have had in many years. Brendan and I shared, and it was cooked very well and very tender. I didn’t think it had enough seasoning but that’s me not being accustomed to “beef” taste. I was ready for bed after that big dinner and walking over 30,000 steps that day.
