April 15th, 2019
Today we got up and the three of us did a 10:30am walking tour. The tour took us through the nice aristocratic neighborhoods of BA and included a visit to Recoleta Cemetery. After our tour we went back and changed hostels. We rested for a bit in our new hostel and then got ready to go to La Bomba which is a drumming performance that happens every Monday night. It was super cool and fun at a big outdoor venue in the middle of the city.
The show lasted about three hours and then we went to another drumming party at a bar across the street. Brendan and I got some food, and there was more drumming and dancing. Around 2am we got a taxi back to the hostel and the party was still in full swing. We heard that it’s normal for parties in BA to go until 7am the following morning! We can’t quite hang with those hours, and we made it back to the hostel and looked forward to sleeping in.
