Today we had to get up extremely early. We had arranged to take a 7am bus to El Calafate which is in the Argentinian side of Patagonia. We crossed the Chilean border and went to Argentina on the six-hour long bus ride from Puerto Natales. We were really excited because Taylor found a super cool hostel where we booked two nights. We got there mid-afternoon and our hostel was very nice with great views. Brendan had a lot of school work to catch up on after not being able to connect to the internet all the days we were hiking, so Taylor and I went out to explore the little town. El Calafate was super cute, and we ended up meeting some friends we had met on the W-trek who were also staying there. We found a couple great restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed the food and wine. After so many days of cup of noodles, we really lapped it up. We booked tours for the next day to go out to the Punto Moreno glacier. Taylor booked kayaking in front of the glacier but there was not room for all of us on that tour. Brendan and I opted for a mini trek where we will get to go out on the actual glacier ice.
