We decided to stay in Punta Arenas today before leaving by bus to Puerto Natales.
We took this day to go to the store and get groceries for whatever hiking we do once we get into the National park of Torres del Paine. We also did some shopping for some last-minute items.
This was the first cold weather we experienced on this trip and we needed a few things. I bought a warmer beanie and I also broke down and bought a new pair of hiking boots. After mine got stolen in Belize, I really didn’t want to spend the money on replacing them, but I realized hiking in Nikes might not be a great idea for all of the weather conditions we might encounter. We also did some laundry and had a relaxing day. We explored the town of Punta Arenas and ended up having dinner at a beer and pizza place that was recommended by our hostel.
