Brendan’s birthday! Unfortunately, it wasn’t as jammed packed with fun activities as mine because this fell on a travel day for us. We had to leave Panama and make our way back to Costa Rica. We packed up from the beautiful over-the-water house and made our way to the water taxi where we would go back to Panama’s mainland and catch our shuttle to San Jose, Costa Rica. This is where we said goodbye to Mike and Kellee as they had a flight out of Bocas a couple hours later to make their way back home. Hard to say goodbye as it was such a fun week having friends visit but we knew our next adventure was waiting for us. Just after another quick 10 hour shuttle ride to Costa Rica…
Brendan had cold leftover pizza for his birthday dinner on the shuttle bus with a promise for a more exciting meal and celebration tomorrow. 😊 After the long journey we finally made it to San Jose where we shared a cab with a new friend we met on the bus to a nearby hostel. It was actually a pretty cool hostel in the city that had a nice pool and community area. Tired from the travel day, we basically just went to bed and eagerly awaited our next day where we were going to enjoy our birthday present from my Mom and Chris which was a NICE hotel with white sheets on the bed!
White sheets on the bed huh! You need to be careful, you might get used to that!
