Today is our last full day in Guatemala. We leave tomorrow to fly to San Jose, Costa Rica and then take a shuttle down to Bocas del Toro, Panama where we are meeting my friends from Tacoma, WA. I started my day at 3:30am when I got up to go do a sunrise tour. B and Taylor opted out of this ativity but I went in a shuttle up “Indian Nose” where we hiked about 30 minutes in the dark to get to a view point to watch the sunrise (at about 9,000 ft). It was very beautiful and we could see all of Lake Atitlan and the surrounding volcanos including Acatenango, which we climbed in Antigua, and Fuego spewing its lava. They had a little fire going at the top of Indian Nose and had bread and tea for us while we watched the sunrise over beautiful Lake Atitlan.
After getting back to the hostel, we spent the rest of the day relaxing at the pool and enjoying the town of San Pedro.
