Today Brendan and I ventured out and took a bus to Jerusalem. I booked a free walking tour in the old city and it was really great. We had a really good guide and learned a lot.

Jerusalem is such an interesting place and I learned it is very important to multiple religions. In the old city there are four quarters (Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and Armenian). This city has been destroyed and rebuilt so many times it actually has layers which are very interesting to see. We have been traveling a long time and my phone has a huge amount of storage on it. However, when we got to the place where Jesus was hung on the cross, I tried to take a picture and my phone said I was out of storage space. I was trying to delete things and listen to the tour so I could snap a few more photos of some really important sites!

We went to a rooftop and got some great panoramic views of the city.

By the time our tour was over it was too late to hike to the sunset viewpoint on Mount Olive so we went to the big market instead. This was a lively place with all kinds of food and treats. We had some pizza and walked all around before going to our hostel for the night.
