We packed up camp and left on a very early 6:30am bus from Rocky Point Inn. As the bus stops all along the way for anyone who flags it down it quickly became crowded. Brendan generously gave up his seat again and was standing in the aisle for the majority of the ride. I think it was a couple hour bus ride to Belmopan where we had to change and get on a bus to San Ignacio. We arrived in San Ignacio and checked in the Old House Hostel. It was a fun place to stay very central to town. Tired and hot from the journey Brendan and Taylor rested in our bunks and I went out exploring the town of San Ignacio and their big market as it was “market day”. We had not been eating any fresh veggies so at the market I was drawn to all the produce and picked up stuff to make our first home meal of the trip.

That evening we made a big salad and hung out at the hostel. We had plans to go out on the town as it was Saturday night and they were having a DJ competition in town center but we were all so exhausted and still adjusting to the intense heat and humidity we decided to stay in.
